Last weekend, we had our very first visitor: Scott’s Dad, otherwise known as Pwop!
Scott’s Dad was running a conference in Chicago a few days prior, so he figured while he was already halfway to us, he might as well come visit for the weekend.
It was amazing having family here in our new city. I’ve said many times how difficult it is being so far away from family and friends, so you can only imagine how full our hearts were having Pwop with us for a few days!
We showed him all around town (read: ate our weight in brunch, ice cream, and alcoholic beverages) and got a little adventurous with a hike to Multnomah Falls and a boat ride on the Columbia River.
The boat ride was on a giant sternwheeler that took us along the Columbia River for 2 hours. It was a beautiful day to be outdoors, and we learned some fun facts about our new state.
It was a wonderful weekend. In addition to all our adventures, we officially decided on what professional football team we’re going to support on this side of the country. Without further ado…
Our decision was made primarily on the fact that they destroyed San Francisco on Sunday night and their uniforms are badass. Completely logical reasons to support a team.
Thanks, Pwop, for visiting! We can’t wait to see you again!
Happy weekend, friends
